    also “    Obstgarten”, “Bitz” or “Bongert”

    Definition: scattered fruit trees (high standard trees)  on grasland

    Leaves were used as winter litter for stables (“Streu”)

    Large variety of old fruit tree cultivars and types

    Mixed use of fruit production and (grass) haymaking/pasturing

    Combined with beekeeping
